Melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) essential oil is steam distilled from the leaves of myrtle trees and shrubs. Aromatically, melaleuca’s earthy scent is known to promote cleansing and purity.
Historically, the leaves of the melaleuca tree were used to heal cuts, wounds, and skin infections.
